Purchasing a hat
When purchasing a hat you will need to choose a size. In order to do that you will need to know the head measurement of the person the hat is intended for. Measuring the head isn't difficult or complicated to do, but hopefully this quick guide will confirm how it's done.
To measure the head
You will need either a soft tape measure (dressmakers tape measure), or a piece of string and a regular tape measure to measure it against.

Wrap your head in style and warmth with this colourful handmade winter pillbox hat.
A patchwork design of five colours, black, navy, green, bright red and dark red, on the quilted tip and crown, with contrast stitching also in five colours. Lined with soft fleece.
The amount of patchwork/ quilting does make this hat a snugger fit compared to my usual sizing.
Enjoy a modern take on the classic 1860's/70's Victorian smoking cap - look great, and stay toasty too.

**As a guide - take your head measurement add approx. half an inch (for comfort) this gives your hat size
