When purchasing a hat you will need to choose a size. In order to do that you will need to know the head measurement of the person the hat is intended for. Measuring the head isn't difficult or complicated to do, but hopefully this quick guide will confirm how it's done.
To measure the head
You will need either a soft tape measure (dressmakers tape measure), or a piece of string and a regular tape measure to measure it against.

Handmade lumberjack style brimless fleece hat in shades of blue.
The checked tip in blue and navy is quilted to add warmth and structure to the cap. The double dyed blue indigo denim crown has a sophisticated edging of blue fleece, which compliments the multi blue check patterned tip. The fleece continues through to the inside of the hat to form the lining, along with a fleece of bright blue, for extra cosiness.

(measurements are approx. and will be within acceptable tolerance)
**As a guide - take your head measurement add approx. half an inch (for comfort) this gives your hat size.
Materials: synthetic check fabric, cotton covered polyester wadding, cotton denim, polyester fleece.
Each is individually handmade so will differ slightly, including angle of quilting on tip, which is determined after being quilted. And pattern will differ according to fabric cut.
