When purchasing a hat you will need to choose a size. In order to do that you will need to know the head measurement of the person the hat is intended for. Measuring the head isn't difficult or complicated to do, but hopefully this quick guide will confirm how it's done.
To measure the head
You will need either a soft tape measure (dressmakers tape measure), or a piece of string and a regular tape measure to measure it against.

Add a unique touch to your home with this Harris Tweed hanging tree ornament. The patchwork front includes five different Harris Tweed fabrics, burgundy/ pink herringbone, rainbow check, burgundy/ green/ cream, blue/ yellow check and plain pink with machine embroidered bells. There is a shooting star charm attached to the top, along with a navy leather hanging loop. It has a brown wool back.
Length (not including loop) approx. 5 3/4inch (14.5cm), width at widest approx. 4inch (10cm)
Handmade from small leftover fabric pieces and stuffed with wool trimmings, that would otherwise be discarded, this no waste patchwork decoration is 100% wool. Is an Eco friendly addition to anyone's Christmas, and is completely one-of-a-kind.
