Purchasing a hat

When purchasing a hat you will need to choose a size. In order to do that you will need to know the head measurement of the person the hat is intended for. Measuring the head isn't difficult or complicated to do, but hopefully this quick guide will confirm how it's done.

To measure the head

You will need either a soft tape measure (dressmakers tape measure), or a piece of string and a regular tape measure to measure it against.

  Measure the circumference around the head keeping  the tape level and firm,
 just above the ears, across the forehead and over the  bump on the back of the head.
 As a guide -  take your head measurement and add approximately half an inch, for comfort, this will give your hat size for a TwiLd Capit Hog handmade hat.

Make a flamboyant style statement with this Renaissance-inspired Harlequin Smoking Cap.

Handmade with a mix of cotton corduroy and wool/silk blend it has a sophisticated colour and pattern combination, of gold and blue/grey squares design.

This carefully crafted hat features a six point crown-like structure, lightly quilted to retain the shape and finished with a vintage navy button and beautiful silk lining. Lining design may differ from photo. 

This hat brings out medieval jester charm and the vibrancy of the Mardi Gras Carnival.
