Purchasing a hat

When purchasing a hat you will need to choose a size. In order to do that you will need to know the head measurement of the person the hat is intended for. Measuring the head isn't difficult or complicated to do, but hopefully this quick guide will confirm how it's done.

To measure the head

You will need either a soft tape measure (dressmakers tape measure), or a piece of string and a regular tape measure to measure it against.

  Measure the circumference around the head keeping  the tape level and firm,
 just above the ears, across the forehead and over the  bump on the back of the head.
 As a guide -  take your head measurement and add approximately half an inch, for comfort, this will give your hat size for a TwiLd Capit Hog handmade hat.

This pre folded pocket square is handmade in deep burgundy red, complimented with a hint of classic gingham check in red, white and blue. The bold pop of colour from the gingham is both classic and fun, turning this pocket square into a statement piece. Designed to add interest and individuality to an otherwise plain jacket or suit.

  • Width approx. 9cm (3.5inch)
  • Total length approx. 12.5cm (5inch)
  • Point depth approx. 4cm

Measurements are approximate and will be within acceptable tolerance.

Materials: manmade fibre fabric, cotton gingham check, cotton twill, facing

There are many ways to fold a pocket square, some simple and some more complicated, and there is the option of the pre folded pocket squares, but this is a pocket accessory!

Each is individually handmade so will differ in pattern and colour, depending on fabric cut and placement.

I love the design so much. The hat itself made-up silk, corduroy, gemstones and Completed with a tassel, it’s magnificent design is a modern spin of the classical smoking hats. Absolutely amazing, I saw this item in the medium size that was available, I knew I had to have it, I even messaged the owner if it was possible to make it in my size.

One day I logged on to Esty and there it was listed in my size, I knew immediately what I had to do, it was in two other peoples baskets, but no ! it was destined to me mine !

When it arrived I was astounded, the quality of materials and the craftsmanship was beyond anything I could imagined, this thinking cap was made and designed not to last years but to last decades. I am beyond delighted to own this Harris Tweed cap and I know I will grow old wearing it, I will keep it in great condition so when I have children I will pass it on to them. it was so great and fantastic I even bought another one and I'm thinking about buying a third one.
