Purchasing a hat

When purchasing a hat you will need to choose a size. In order to do that you will need to know the head measurement of the person the hat is intended for. Measuring the head isn't difficult or complicated to do, but hopefully this quick guide will confirm how it's done.

To measure the head

You will need either a soft tape measure (dressmakers tape measure), or a piece of string and a regular tape measure to measure it against.

  Measure the circumference around the head keeping  the tape level and firm,
 just above the ears, across the forehead and over the  bump on the back of the head.
 As a guide -  take your head measurement and add approximately half an inch, for comfort, this will give your hat size for a TwiLd Capit Hog handmade hat.

Stay warm in style with these luxurious Light Grey Marl Pure Cashmere Wrist Warmers.

Handmade from pre-loved cashmere sweaters, they feature a double layer of cashmere for extra warmth and a snug wrist knot design for comfortable and practical wear. The shorter length means they can be worn without getting in the way while performing daily tasks. Just slip them on and forget all about them!


Keeping the wrists warm raises overall body temperature. Cashmere is known to be up to 8 times warmer than other wool and because it is so soft and light it makes the cosiest wrist warmers.

The wrist warmers come beautifully packaged within a traditional "day of the dead" origami festival cup in various patterned and plain paper, to honour and celebrate the sweater that was. Included is a cedar wood heart, to help guard against moths, and a small clay sweater as a reminder of their previous life.

Absolutely amazing, I saw this item in the medium size that was available, I knew I had to have it, I even messaged the owner if it was possible to make it in my size.

One day I logged on to Esty and there it was listed in my size, I knew immediately what I had to do, it was in two other peoples baskets, but no ! it was destined to me mine !

When it arrived I was astounded, the quality of materials and the craftsmanship was beyond anything I could imagined, this thinking cap was made and designed not to last years but to last decades. I am beyond delighted to own this Harris Tweed cap and I know I will grow old wearing it, I will keep it in great condition so when I have children I will pass it on to them. it was so great and fantastic I even bought another one and I'm thinking about buying a third one.
