Purchasing a hat

When purchasing a hat you will need to choose a size. In order to do that you will need to know the head measurement of the person the hat is intended for. Measuring the head isn't difficult or complicated to do, but hopefully this quick guide will confirm how it's done.

To measure the head

You will need either a soft tape measure (dressmakers tape measure), or a piece of string and a regular tape measure to measure it against.

  Measure the circumference around the head keeping  the tape level and firm,
 just above the ears, across the forehead and over the  bump on the back of the head.
 As a guide -  take your head measurement and add approximately half an inch, for comfort, this will give your hat size for a TwiLd Capit Hog handmade hat.

Add a unique touch to your home with this Harris Tweed hanging tree ornament. The patchwork front includes five different Harris Tweed fabrics, brown/ fawn/ orange/ blue herringbone, fawn/ burgundy/ green check, fawn/ brown herringbone,, plain red, and green/ blue herringbone with machine embroidered bells. There is a shooting star charm attached to the top, along with a navy leather hanging loop. It has a tobacco coloured wool/ silk mix back. 

Length (not including loop) approx. 5 3/4inch (14.5cm), width at widest approx. 4inch (10cm)

Handmade from small leftover fabric pieces and stuffed with wool trimmings, that would otherwise be discarded, this no waste patchwork decoration is all wool (except for a little silk in the backing fabric). An Eco friendly addition to anyone's Christmas, and is completely one-of-a-kind.

Absolutely amazing, I saw this item in the medium size that was available, I knew I had to have it, I even messaged the owner if it was possible to make it in my size.

One day I logged on to Esty and there it was listed in my size, I knew immediately what I had to do, it was in two other peoples baskets, but no ! it was destined to me mine !

When it arrived I was astounded, the quality of materials and the craftsmanship was beyond anything I could imagined, this thinking cap was made and designed not to last years but to last decades. I am beyond delighted to own this Harris Tweed cap and I know I will grow old wearing it, I will keep it in great condition so when I have children I will pass it on to them. it was so great and fantastic I even bought another one and I'm thinking about buying a third one.
