When purchasing a hat you will need to choose a size. In order to do that you will need to know the head measurement of the person the hat is intended for. Measuring the head isn't difficult or complicated to do, but hopefully this quick guide will confirm how it's done.
To measure the head
You will need either a soft tape measure (dressmakers tape measure), or a piece of string and a regular tape measure to measure it against.

The short cravat style is handmade in iconic Harris Tweed dogtooth check in blue, off-white and brown tones, up-cycled from a mans jacket, lined with chocolate brown knit of pure cashmere for design and comfort. The beautifully soft knitted lining is up-cycled from a sweater.
A different design of Harris Tweed in similar colours has been used to highlighting the hand-finished keyhole opening, which apart from providing an easy no fuss closure allows the scarf to be worn in various ways.
Harris Tweed is famous around the world, being one of the most luxurious and desirable cloths, due to it's warm properties and having it's heritage protected by an Act of Parliament. It is made from 100% virgin wool spun, dyed and hand-woven by the islanders in their.own homes and finished in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
