When purchasing a hat you will need to choose a size. In order to do that you will need to know the head measurement of the person the hat is intended for. Measuring the head isn't difficult or complicated to do, but hopefully this quick guide will confirm how it's done.
To measure the head
You will need either a soft tape measure (dressmakers tape measure), or a piece of string and a regular tape measure to measure it against.

A winter pillbox style cap handmade using a beautiful Aztec design fabric for the tip, complimented by a charcoal grey crown and soft cosy chartreuse green fleece edging.
The colourful tip is quilted for extra warmth and to give the hat structure and the distinctive TwiLd Capit Hog detail.
The crown is a sophisticated charcoal grey with a cross-hatch weave design, trimmed with chartreuse green fleece. The fleece continues through to form part of the lining along with fine cream fleece for extra cosiness.
This snuggly hat is a warm and casual version of the Victorian style gentleman's smoking cap of the 1860's/70's. A fleece cap with style.

**As a guide - take your head measurement add approx. half an inch (for comfort) this gives your hat size
Materials: Aztec fabric man-made fibre content unknown, cotton covered polyester wadding, natural woven fabric (probably cotton), polyester fleece.
**Each is individually handmade so will differ depending on fabric cut and angle of quilting on tip, which is determined after quilting.
